Narrative Therapy Workshop for Indigenous Workers.
Bouverie’s Indigenous program and the Narrative Therapy team of the Academic program in partnership are presenting a training day on narrative therapy.
They types of questions we will try to answer...
· How do you start to use narrative approaches?
· How do you run a basic narrative session?
· How do you do basic narrative questions?
· Is it similar or different, harder or easier than other models?
· What are its principles and philosophies?
· Are they practical?
· Can you do it only as technique?
We will also try to answer...
· Is it useful for indigenous people?
· Who is using it with indigenous people, and
· how are they using it
· What are the experiences and discoveries of any people in the room who are using it.
We will try to answer questions you ask about what you want to know about narrative. We will draw on and share the experience in the room to help make it more relative to those in the room.
In the afternoon we will break into two streams
- Those with some familiarity and experience with narrative to refresh, consolidate share and expand their skills.
- Those new to narrative to have an have a go at discussing trying and practicing it
