2009 was a busy year for FaPMI with the introduction of new positions at South West (Glenelg), Mid west, Dandenong and Ballarat. Part time positions at Loddon Mallee, Gippsland and Eastern Health were enhanced to full time. A major focus has been on developing the training and workforce development strategies, and to this end all the FaPMI coordinators, plus a consumer parent, young carer and the Chief Social Worker from Northern Area Mental Health Service have been trained to deliver the recently launched Resource ' Keeping Families and Children In Mind', developed by the National COPMI initiative. This highly interactive resource will form the basis for much of the FaPMI training delivered from 2010 across mental health, Integrated familuy Services and AOD services in Victoria via the Mental Health Training 'Clusters'. More inforamtion about training can be found on the Training and Professional Development section. More news can be found in the Statewide summary.
