Dependence or Independence: Which is the dirty word?

Posted 19th September 2018

At the upcoming 16th Annual Mini-Conference we will tackle assumptions and explore tensions that surround notions of ‘dependence’ and ‘independence’ as they are used in mental health settings.

With prominent keynote speakers, and a trialogue of mental health consumers, family-carers and practitioners, we will pose questions as to:  Are they oppositional concepts or are they complementary? What are the consequence of promoting one over the other? Which is the ‘dirty word’?

Date: Tues, 9 Oct 2018

Time: 9.30am - 4.30pm

Venue: The Bouverie Centre
