Working with Families – Children – Complex Trauma Environments

The Bouverie Centre is delighted to announce that Emeritus Professor Judy Atkinson, a leading expert in understanding trans generational healing and recovery from trauma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, is coming to Melbourne to conduct a two day experiential workshop entitled, Working with Families – Children – Complex Trauma Environments.

This workshop intends to “work with families to help prevent the level of child removals in every state of Australia”. Over the course of the two days, participants will have a hands-on opportunity to integrate Judy’s work into their work practices, through a process of a “trauma informed organizational work practice and trauma specific service delivery to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families, so we can begin to work with families”.
