The Bouverie Centre is proud to present Fiona True, renowned clinician and trainer with The Ackerman Institute for the Family, New York, who will be presenting some of her most significant and recent work in a two-day workshop, Restoring Ruptured Bonds.
This workshop will utilize examples from across the developmental trajectory, from early childhood through adulthood, to demonstrate an approach to repair the relational ruptures that have occurred.
The Ackerman Institute for the Family, is renowned for its role in the early development of Family Therapy and subsequently specialist programs and projects which provided clinical innovation and leadership in the most challenging areas of couple and family therapy practice. The Institute has a dedicated Center for Children and Relational Trauma which Fiona has co-directed since 2004. The Center is translating what was learnt in the earlier work with incest to working with children and families who have experienced other forms of relational trauma such as witnessing domestic violence, the loss of a parent or bitter and contentious custody disputes.
Discounts are available for AAFT members. Non-members are advised to be quick to register before 31 July to be eligible for an Early Bird discount.
