Graduates from the Shepparton training, 2008.
The Bouverie Centre, La Trobe University, in partnership with Take Two, Berry Street, runs a university level post graduate qualification in family therapy. It is specifically designed for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who are currently working in community. Non-Indigenous family workers from Aboriginal organisations who have been endorsed by their organisation are also eligible to take part in this course.
Since 2008, this three year family therapy training program has been held off campus throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria, as well as Far North Queensland, including:
PLEASE NOTE: Currently, the course is only available if external funding covers the cost of the training. If an organisation / region is interested in their workers being funded to complete this training, they will need to source the funding from the funding bodies. The Bouverie staff can assist with possible funding options.
Interested in postgraduate family therapy training? Call (03) 9385 5100 and ask to speak to a member of our Indigenous Program or email B.Moloney@latrobe.edu.au. If you are eligible to apply and your organisation is able to find the funds to support you, we will arrange a suitable time and place to have a chat.
