Each year Bouverie offers a range of workshops at our centre in Brunswick which are designed to help professionals from a range of different settings extend their knowledge and skills. Review our professional development calendar.

All Bouverie-based professional development workshops can be delivered in Community.

The Indigenous team's iconic short courses include:

  • First steps in family work: Building confidence to work with families and significant others (5 days)
  • Getting to the heart of it: Healing Aboriginal Families 1 (exploring Trauma from a historical lens - 2 days)
  • Getting to the heart of it: Healing Aboriginal Families 2 (exploring loss and grief - 2 days)
  • Worker Wellbeing (1 day)
  • Using Narrative Therapy with Families (1 day)
  • ABI and Family Sensitive Practice (1 day)

Contact us and together we can explore the possibility of delivering one of these workshops (or similar), or of developing something unique and tailor made for your staff.

Call (03) 9385 5100 and ask to speak to a member of our Indigenous Program or email Jacqui Sundbery at

Note: We are not able to offer cultural awareness training. If you are interested in this type of training, we recommend you contact your local Aboriginal RTO.
